By Author: Mike McCoy
Article: Protect your home business by choosing the right company to represent. There is too much of your time, money, and emotional energy at stake to casually join a network marketing company without thoroughly investigating it.

Watch out for: Exaggerated income claims that appeal to greed, without a sustainable source for the income, other than fees paid by new recruits. Emphasis on shifting money from person to person, without having a product or service change hands. A compensation plan that funnels money to the top brass, rather than distributing it to the associates who make the sales.

Analyze the management. Be suspicious of company leaders whose whole focus is making money, with no regard for helping others. A new, untried company with no track record is no place to risk your business success.

A company that is growing too fast may not be financially stable and possibly has a heavy debt load. An older company whose growth momentum has tapered off may have saturated its market, making it difficult to find new customers.

Avoid a company that requires you to stock, invoice, and deliver products purchased by your customers. This is too time consuming and expensive for you. The company could do it more efficiently. This is also true of managing team structure, accounting, and calculating of down line sales volume, paychecks, and bonuses.

Likelihood of enrolling new MLM team associates: It will be hard to recruit if there is no convenient way to sign up, like a web page or an application form that can be faxed, or if the company does not accept credit cards for required fees. Avoid a company that offers no help with marketing, beyond having you contact your family and friends or calling strangers. It is only interested in access to your warm market.

If there is no website that describes the products or services offered and the business opportunity, it will be hard to sell or recruit, beyond local contacts. Also, you will need to do one-on-one product promotion that could be done more efficiently by a website. Stay away from a company that does not offer good training aids, such as new associate guidelines, CD’s, DVD’s, web pages, brochures, e-mail newsletters, and meetings. You, the recruiter, would need to take extra time with new recruits to train and support them, so they wont drop out.

Unrealistically high team purchase quotas to qualify for override commissions make your income too dependent upon other peoples actions.

Avoid the following products: Limited in number with narrow market appeal Unstable supply, causing back orders, disappointed customers, and lost sales overpriced and/or have no clear advantage over ones that are cheaper and are readily available small, one-time purchases that would not generate residual income.

By Author: Cindy Heller
Article: Network marketing is a people business. The quality of the people will either make or break your business. Your business can be “killed” with the wrong type of people and there are three different types of people to avoid when recruiting people for your network marketing business. They are “The Snake”, “The Sweet-Talker” and “The Sloth.”

The biggest poison in the network marketing world is the snake. They will do whatever it takes to recruit people and will even succumb to unethical means to get them. High pressure hard selling, friendship blackmail and line pinching are some of the means the snake uses to get people to join them. Especially must you be careful when they are talking to your prospects. These snakes are friendly and helpful and will welcome them to the team. Before you know it, your prospects become their downline. Even your own downlines are not immune to their wiles and the snakes will entice them to other MLM’s in which they are already a part of.

Crowd pleasers are the sweet talkers. And that is all they do. Talk and no action. They are sincere people, and are one with the team but they give all kinds of excuses to justify their results. All your attention is given to them and yet they are not investing time to grow their own organization with their own downlines. Too much sweet talkin’ can produce a sick company and one that eventually may not succeed, especially if the person does not produce a viable means of income.

Then comes the sloth who literally do nothing. They join the MLM companies in which they are purchasing hope and not a business. All their network building is expected to be done by the uplines for they will not see the people. Oh…they may attend the rallies, home parties and meetings. And they may read all the books and listen to the tapes on network marketing but they basically are a lazy lot. Their upline is expected to do everything.

Unsavory people are found everywhere including the world of network marketing. Whether they produce venom or are sickenly sweet or plain do nothing, these individuals do not belong in a respectable community such as network marketing. Learning how to recognize such people and learning how to avoid recruiting them will guarantee time vested in the right people for the right job and thereby a profitable business. It may sound like a weird title but believe me your success depends on you figuring out the relevance. Making a “warm list” and inviting them to a home presentation or to a hotel meeting is the first offline strategy most people learn. This limited personal contact list will run out quickly.

So, the next step quite predictably would be to go online and buy leads from a lead generation site or a genealogy list which is a list of marketers from a failed network marketing company. There is a multitude of problems with these options.

The leads you can buy online have been sold no telling how many times before, guaranteed. They were never your leads either since they didn’t answer your ads or find your site while doing a search. That means they don’t know you.

Then the genealogy list may be a list of marketers who are open to the concept but there is no way to know how long ago they signed up. These lists are from defunct companies but there may be people on the list who signed up years ago and never made any money in the business. Since they could be years old there will be lots of phone numbers and addresses that are no good any more. There could be as many as 80% of the contacts that are no good.

Even if you do get some good contact information on either of those lists the people on them may already be involved in something else and not knowing them it would be more like cold calling than anything else.

There is a critical shift in your prospects interest when it comes to the difference in leads you generate by positioning yourself where those who are searching can find you and cold calling uninterested strangers or even friends and relatives. If you are using the principles of attraction marketing where people who want what you have can find you and ask you to help them it really leverages your time because you never have to talk to an uninterested prospect again.

If you are chasing friends and relatives about your opportunity they mat think of you as a pest but if someone who is searching for what you have, finds you first, they will consider you an expert or a leader.

If you try your untrained offline strategies online, I promise you, it will not work. Going to the social sites and making contacts and sending messages with article to your company site is the same as offline methods because those people do not care about your product or opportunity or comp plan. They already have on of their own and these methods are just like the 3 foot rule in that the prospects have to be chased down and convinced.

These people did not ask for what you have first so they really have no interest and in fact are turned off by your “selling” to them. You have to build relationships and, as with other attraction marketing principles, you have to wait until they ask you what you do or what company you are with. You get them to ask by building relationships and helping them solve their problems.

People are more likely to buy things and do business with those they like and trust. If you provide solutions for their problems they will like you. It will work the same with your team members. Help them build their business by showing them what works for you and that will help them succeed which will make your business stronger.

Get in the habit of helping everyone you come in contact with and you are on the way to being the leader you will have to be to succeed in this industry. Become a leader that YOU would hire and others will want to join you.

By Author: Dan Lambeth
Article:
If you want to be effective in network marketing there are two simple rules you must follow. 1. Understand that the only people you should be marketing your product to are the ones that want or need the product. 2. Assume the posture of a leader that provides solutions for other network marketers and you will cause other marketers to want to join you.

You don’t want to come across as a sales person. Instead you should provide solutions for your target markets problems. Who is your target market? People who are actively searching for your product or opportunity, or anyone who has ever bought a similar product or service before.

Following these rules is the only chance you have of succeeding because when you don’t follow them you are perceived as a pest. You have a target market that is open to your prospecting and prospecting anyone else is a waste of your time. Wasted time is worse than wasted money because you can always earn more money but once you have wasted your time it is gone forever.

Your specific targets are: People who are in network marketing, people who used to be in network marketing, people who want your product, people who use a similar product, anyone who has purchased information about the industry.

Lots of people will request free information but you want people who will spend money in the industry. There is a huge difference. If you were running ads looking for anyone who WANTS to drive a racecar you would have a bigger and different list than if you ran ads looking for those who are racecar drivers.

The talent level and the personal drive would be different too. That shows the difference in opportunity leads or opportunity seekers and network marketers or opportunity buyers.

How insane is that idea? Promote and sell only to those who want what you have and sign up people who want to sign up. This is not rocket science but how logical does that sound? If you were selling big juicy steaks would you try to sell one to a vegetarian? Send a DVD or CD about your business opportunity to your aunt Jane or uncle John who didn’t ask for it and you will get the same response as a steak sent to a vegetarian.

Trying to push you opportunity on your friends and family not only is a waste of time but the rejections are extra hard coming from people you like and care about. If you are lucky enough to sign a few of them up there is a good chance they will not work the business as hard as you do. That means they will probably drop out when they figure out they are not making any money.

You have an opportunity for people and there are plenty of people out there looking for that. You do not need to chase anybody for prospecting if you do it right. How much fun is it to chase after uninterested personal contacts and get loads of rejections for your trouble?

If you took the time to learn how to position yourself where those who are searching for what you have can find you how much more productive would you be? Anyone who is currently working and struggling or anyone who has ever tried MLM would be much more open if you had a solution for their problems.

If you really want to succeed, have fun, and build your business the easy way you just have to focus on the right people. They are the ones who are looking and find you and leave their contact information.

If you learn proper marketing techniques you will have the solutions that the 97% of all network marketers out there need so they can succeed and you will become the leader they want to join who can show them the way to succeed. If you learn what works and show others that is how this industry works. The more people you help the more successful you will be and the more you know the easier it will be.

The most important being your pool of prospects. Instead of a limited personal contact list your source will be unlimited interested prospects that found you and left their info.

By Author: Gary Fumeaux

Article: A productive marketing strategy is gauged by how effectively it can be implemented. Many people know that a sure-fire marketing strategy takes many assorted aspects into consideration and uses these factors collectively.

There are five primary points to formulating winning marketing strategies. Every prosperous business owner will tell you that these five methods are always incredibly important for a successful marketing strategy:

1) Strengths – A successful marketing strategy always looks at the various strengths that a business has. These strengths should be pre-existing in the company and they should be abe to use them to their advantagel. It is obvious that every company has certain strengths that give it a leg up over the opposition. These benefits could range from having greater access to experienced staff or access to more resources than their competitors. If you have these strengths your focus must be to use them to your best possible advantage.

2) Weaknesses – Just as every business has its strengths they all also have weaknesses.. A successful marketing strategy needs to deal with these weaknesses head on.. A successful marketing strategy should analyse the weaknesses honestly in order to best overcome them..

Successful marketing strategies turned the tables on potential weaknesses, turning them into strengths.. Anything is possible with the right dedication of focus to the marketing strategy. By really focusing on weaknesses a company can easily address them. They can work hard to eliminate those weaknesses and stop them from damaging the company.

3) Opportunities – Successful marketing strategies have always jumped at viable opportunities. By paying attention to the opportunities afforded them, a company can easily pave its path for the future. In any market the number of opportunities is virtually limitless.

By staying focusesd and paying attention a company can identify opportunities that would otherwise have remained hidden.. In attempting to use these opportunities the company must stay focused on its main goal.

4) Threats -Threats are a part of every market. Those wishing to implement intelligent marketing strategies really need to be aware of how dangerous threats can be..

Successful marketing strategies always focus on minimising the impacts of these threats and changing in the face of the threats to minimise their impact. Some of the most impressive marketing strategies have taken these market threats and turned them into incredible opportunities.

5) Implementation – Thre real success in a marketing strategy is how it is implemented. Impelementation is the real test of how effective a marketing strategy is. It doesn’t matter if the strategy is obvious or simple as successful marketing strategies are the marketing strategies that are always implemented. Without this trial by fire, the marketing strategy remains nothing but a marketing strategy. Success is all about how the strategy is used, not just how the strategy is designed..

These are the fives secrets to implementing successful marketing strategy. Mark them well, as they will be very important in helping you achieve success in the future..
